Interior design in 2025 is shifting toward personal comfort, natural aesthetics, and long-lasting quality. At Dible & Roy, we’ve been helping clients across Bath, Bradford on Avon, and the South West bring their interiors to life for over 40 years. With a showroom spanning two floors and one of the largest fabric libraries in the region, we’re well-positioned to guide you through the year’s most defining trends.
Whether you’re looking to refresh one room or undertake a full home project, here are the top five interior design trends to embrace—and the ones to leave behind.
1. In: Earthy, Natural Colour Palettes
Out: Grey-Dominated Minimalism
The clean, clinical greys that dominated interior design for years are being replaced with soft, earthy tones that reflect nature. Think sage or rich dark olive greens, ochres, soft terracotta, warm taupe, and mellow brown hues, including the Pantone colour of the year 2025, ‘Mocha Mousse’. These colours add warmth, tranquility and character to spaces—something homeowners are craving more than ever. Expect to see colour and pattern drenching, and a resurgence in maximalism with vintage and retro influences.
How to apply it:
At Dible & Roy, we offer a wide range of fabrics and wallpapers in these popular tones and on trend patterns. Whether you want to revive an old piece of furniture through reupholstery, create a feature wall with textured, patterned or artistic mural wallpapers, or reimagine your curtains and blinds, our team can help you find the perfect match. Our very popular retro inspired storage is perfect for the vintage aesthetic.
To help introduce these on-trend earthy options to your interiors, book a consultation with Lizzie or Amanda. Our design team are ready to assist in choosing fabrics suited to your home’s light and layout.
2. In: Layered Textures and Soft Materials
Out: Overly Sparse Interiors
Minimalist, stripped-back rooms are being replaced with spaces that feel lived-in and inviting. Texture adds depth and comfort—key components of a modern interior in 2025. Mixing different materials like wool, linen, bouclé, wood and natural fibres creates interest and softness without clutter.
Dible & Roy approach:
Our carpets and rugs are available in a variety of textures and tones, ideal for creating tactile, welcoming floors. Our responsibly sourced wood flooring is ideal for high traffic areas and introducing rich, natural tones to your scheme. Layer these with soft curtains and tactile accessories from our furnishings and accessories range to give your space depth and detail.
3. In: Sustainable and Conscious Design
Out: Disposable Decor
Customers are becoming more conscious of sustainability in every area of life—including home design. 2025 is seeing a clear shift toward materials that are renewable, ethical, and built to last. Rather than constantly refreshing interiors with trends that fade quickly, homeowners are choosing pieces that serve both style and sustainability.
What we offer:
At Dible & Roy, we work with suppliers that value quality and ethics. Fabric design houses are working to reduce their carbon footprint and introducing fabrics made from recycled plastics to support a sustainable approach. Our natural fibre flooring, eco-friendly paints, and bespoke made-to-measure blinds and curtains are designed to be both beautiful and responsible. Our measuring and consultation services ensure every product fits perfectly, meaning less waste and longer-lasting results.
4. In: Statement Window Treatments
Out: Basic, Unadorned Windows
Windows are becoming focal points rather than afterthoughts. In 2025, the trend is toward layers, bold patterns, and tailored finishes. Whether it’s full-length curtains with a dramatic print or shutters that add architectural interest, the window is an opportunity to frame your space with style.
Available in our showroom:
We supply and fit custom curtains, blinds, and shutters—including a range of British Made Shutters. With our vast fabric library and in-house expertise, you can design a window treatment that reflects your personal style. Our appointment system allows for one-on-one consultations with our interior design experts.
5. In: Personalised, Curated Spaces
Out: Copy-and-Paste Pinterest Interiors
In 2025, home design is about individuality. Clients are moving away from overly polished, showroom-style interiors and seeking spaces that reflect their life and personality. Mixing antiques with new purchases, combining textures and colour stories, and focusing on functionality as well as beauty are the keys to curating a timeless, personal interior.
Our design philosophy:
Every client is different. That’s why we offer both in-store and remote consultations, allowing us to understand your preferences and help you make informed design choices. From fabric selections to flooring decisions, our aim is to guide you toward a home that feels truly yours.
