The French Bulldog or ‘Frenchie’ was bred with companionship in mind and so they make loyal friends. Their bat ears, flat faces and sturdy bodies make them very distinctive.
French Bulldogs are not a standard cross breed, but are a result of selective breeding with English Bulldogs and a variety of smaller. toy breeds, including the much loved Terrier.
The depiction of animal heads appearing on human bodies in art has it’s origins in ‘Cynocephali’ which refers to a mythical tribe of humans with dog heads.
