What is Carpet Edging?
Carpet whipping or bordering is a great way to utilise those left over pieces of carpet! These professional edging techniques prevent the raw edges of your carpet from fraying, creating long lasting custom rugs and runners. Whipping is a traditional overlocking method using yarn that you can either colour-match or contrast with your carpet colour. Bordering (or binding) uses a fabric tape for a more modern look, available in complimenting and contrasting colours to your carpet to suit your scheme. These carpet edging techniques also work well for making stair runners.
